Bioinformatics at IILM
BIOINFORMATICS Bioinformatics is a broad multidisciplinary field that combines biology, computer science, statistics and mathematics to analyze and interpret biological data, particularly DNA, RNA and proteins. This branch mainly analyses biological data and develop new software using biological tools. It is mainly used to extract knowledge from biological data through the development of algorithms and software. Bioinformatics has broad applications including genome sequencing, gene expression analysis, protein structure prediction, drug discovery, personalized medicines, etc. A significant application of bioinformatics can be found in the fields of precision and preventive drug which are mainly focused on developing measures to prevent, control and cure dreadful infectious diseases. IILM University, Greater Noida , offers a bachelor of technology (B.Tech) in bioinformatics as an undergraduate program of 4-year ...
