Dandiya Night at IILM: A Celebration of Colors, Culture, and Togetherness 

Festivals revolves around the concept of bringing people together, and this year’s Dandiya Night at IILM was no exception! The entire campus came alive with energy, music, and vibrant colors as students, faculty, and friends gathered to celebrate the spirit of Navratri with joy and enthusiasm.

From the moment we entered the campus, the decorations were breathtaking—bright lights, colorful drapes, and beautiful rangolis gave the place a traditional yet lively look. The beats of garba and dandiya music filled the air, instantly making everyone to join the dance floor.




Students came dressed in their finest traditional outfits—girls in stunning lehengas and boys in elegant kurtas. It was heartwarming to see everyone embracing the cultural essence of the evening. As the dhol beats intensified, the crowd formed circles and danced in perfect rhythm, creating a mesmerizing sight of spinning colors and smiling faces. Even those who didn’t know the dance steps at first soon found themselves swaying along, learning from friends and enjoying every moment.




The best part of the night was the sense of unity it created. Students from different courses and years mingled freely, celebrating not just a festival but also the bond that makes IILM feel like one big family. The laughter, cheers, and friendly dance competitions added to the fun.

There were also delicious food stalls serving mouthwatering chaats, sweets, and beverages—because what’s a festival without great food? Everyone took short breaks between dances to refuel and capture memories at the photo booths decorated with traditional props.

As the night drew to a close, the dance floor was still buzzing with excitement. The event truly reflected the essence of Navratri—joy, devotion, and togetherness. It wasn’t just a cultural event; it was a reminder that beyond academics, college life is about making memories, celebrating diversity, and enjoying the moments that bring us closer.

Dandiya Night at IILM was not just an event—it was an experience to cherish, one that will stay in our hearts until we gather again next year to dance under the stars!
